The Right To Be Forgotten
As per the GDPR, EU citizens have the right to request data processors to delete their personal information, and data processors are required to comply with such requests. Many are not aware of how to submit such a request or even that it's a possibility. In this talk, I'd like to highlight the formal requirements and practical benefits of submitting GDPR right to be forgotten requests, as well as my experiences having submitted hundreds of these requests myself. I've also compiled a "wall of shame" for companies that were the worst offenders.
Bridging The Gap Between Communities
(Not just) tech communities rely on a variety of online platforms for keeping in touch: Matrix, Discord, IRC, Telegram... Keeping up with multiple communities in real-time can be a headache due to needing to have a bunch of separate client applications installed and open on your devices at the same time, all of which suck in one way or another. But what if you could interact with all of your communities from a single interface? This talk aims to suggests a non-standard way of utilizing puppeting bridges to have the best of all worlds.
